| Details: | SUMMARY: Update on corrosion control and plumbing changes. DETAILS: I contacted Jeff to get an update on his progress towards increasing the pH using soda ash as discussed on 12/12/2005 following a copper action level exceedance on 11/30/2005. Jeff currently has the pH at 8.0, but has not been able to maintain it for at least a week. Once he has it in the upper 7s for a week, he will re-sample the high sights (HS Room 16, Cafeteria drinking fountain and Kitchen sink south). He will try to accomplish this in the next two weeks. Also, he has turned off the cooler in the cafeteria drinking fountain hoping that it may decrease the waters contact with the copper cooling units and drop the copper level at that drinking water site. He has not made any other plumbing changes to the existing high sites mentioned above. ACTION NEEDED: Continue to check on Jeffs progress with re-sampling the high sites and maintaining the pH in the upper 7s. Jeff will call with the results of the re-samples. | ||
