Details:	SUMMARY: A routine sample collected on 9/106/05 positive for TC and E.Coli. Alert not Received until 7/24/06. DETAILS: Alert was not received until 7/24/06. As soon as Chuck received the positive routine results he removed the pump handle and posted notice. At that point the system was shut down for the rest of the year. The sytem reopened in July, 2006 with one routien sample and four repeat samples collected on 7/13/06. All five sample were negative for total colifrom. Chuck believes the positive sample could have been a result of the drinking fountain portion of the pump that holds water in a metal box exposed to the sun. He is going to replace this hand pump. (in addition to all USFS hand pumps in Jackson County) with a model that does nto include a drinking foundtain in hopes that this wll resolve the problem. ACTION NEEDED: No further action is needed at this time.
