| Details: | SUMMARY: Tracer Study DETAILS: The Row River plant is a Brown & caldwell design with up-flow clarification and chlorine gas to disinfection. The plant is relatively new and appears very well maintained. Plan design capacity is 2.5 MGD. The City is pursuing modifications and ultimate plan expansion pending plan review. The Circuit Rider Program was contacted to provide a CT Study as background data for design consideration. Upon arrival, the plan was operating at around 1400 gpm with a residual in the clearwell of 0.84mg/L. All chlorine residual measurements were conducted using a HACH {pocket Colorimeter II. To create the tracer dosage, the Rotometer was adjusted to increase the chlorine applied pounds per day, thereby causing a spike in the systems measure chorine residual. The Rot meter was set a t 46 lbs/day, effectively doubling the initial applied dose.
