Details:	SUMMARY: WTP investigation and Funding Assistance DETAILS: BACKGROUND/PROBLEM Contacted by Board Member Richard Crandall. They are experiencing water shortages and plant is at maximum capacity. They had prepared a Letter of Interest to attempt to obtain funding to construct a plant upgrade but did not rank high enough. Plant is only capable of producing 45 gpm to serve 150 people. If plant flows are increased, turbidity problems occur. Plant is also deteriorated and past it design life. Asked for assistance in evaluating what they need to do, how much it might cost and for help in obtaining loan assistance through the SDWLF. ACTION PERFORMED Determined treatment and storage needs and improvements needed at the plant regarding new equipment and chlorine contact chamber. Provided budget estimate to allow planning for funding. Provided short report summarizing treatment deficiencies and needs. Attended Board meeting and explained treatment needs and alternatives, storage needs, funding options, water rates and system development charges. ACTION NEEDED: Provide additional information on system development charges and methods to initiate as requested. Complete letter of interest when available.
