Details: | SUMMARY: CWS referred to circuit rider for assistance with cross connection control ordinance/enabling authority DETAILS: This CWS serves the City of Weston with 301 connections and a population of 717. The system is supplied by one permanent well and one seasonal well. The state DWP does not have a copy of a cross connection ordinance on file. I called Scott Spendlove, the DRC operator for this system, to discuss the requirement for the city to have an ordinance with enabling authority. He said that he thought that such an ordinance existed, but he is new and has not seen it. I asked him to check and get back to me with a response. He called back to say that there is an ordinance, and he is having it printed out for him. We discussed the status of their cross connection control program and the need for the city to have a certified cross connection control specialist. He said that he has that certification. I reminded him of the requirement for the annual summary report (ASR) to be submitted by March 31st. I also suggested that he submit a copy of their ordinance with the ASR. He plans to do that. ACTION NEEDED: System needs to submit a copy of their cross connection control ordinance with their ASR by March 31, 2007. |
