Details: SUMMARY: Nitrate Alert Response - MCL Violation and Public Notice DETAILS: Received alert for the nitrate result of 16 mg/L from the confirmation sample collected 6/25/07. Faxed a public notice to the hotel to be posted. Spoke with Dennis. He will make a site visit to try and determine the source of the nitrates, possibly a failed septic system. ACTION NEEDED: PWS to post public notice, send dated copy to DWP, begin quarterly monitoring for nitrate.
