Details: SUMMARY: Follow-up on positive bacti sample taken on 5/31/07 DETAILS: NOTE: Alternate contact given- Andy Gibson, 503-226-3423. Andy Gibson is the new caretaker who took the sample. The sample taken at the caretakers house (the last connection on water system) sampling plan was not being followed. I discussed the need to follow the current sampling plan and was told he does not have one. Andy took 4 repeat samples on 6/4/07 from the lodge kitchen, shower, well head, and caretakers house. Andy said that he cleaned the hose bibbs by flaming them and running the water for 3 to 5 minutes and cleaning the inside taps with a bleach rag. I also spoke with Jim Hill regarding the procedures for total coliform sampling and reporting of positives to Linn County. Andy informed me that the operating period is year-round, not seasonal, and the new contact person is Jim Hill and Andy is the alternate contact person- confirmed by Jim Hill. Informed Andy and Jim to report results of repeats to Linn County ASAP. Mentioned that if all repeats are negative, then 5 routines are due later in June, as positive bacti was taken 5/31/07. ACTION NEEDED: Wait for results of repeat samples. Complete a water system info form with new info on operating period and contact person. Send information to Jim Hill and Andy Gibson on proper microbiological sampling technique, coliform sampling plan with map, sampling requirements, 2004 survey, and as requested by Jim, small-water-system operator certification class schedule.
