| Details: | SUMMARY: Discussed Nitrate compliance steps with contact. DETAILS: I discussed the status of Nitrate monitoring with the contact. He stated the first quarterly sample will be collected in early September 07 before school begins. We discussed the weekly Nitrate monitoring and recording requirement I described in my June 19, 2007 letter to him. He stated they have obtained Nitrate test strips to take the weekly measurement. He agreed to send me the product literature so I can determine if the strips will meet the 10% accuracy standard. Ron stated he posted public notice regarding the Nitrate MCL at all sinks at the school and shut off the water fountains. I asked him to keep the public notice in place until I have reviewed the September Nitrate result and have given him the OK to discontinue the PN. He agreed to send me a copy of the PN.
