Details:	SUMMARY: alert-Arsenic DETAILS: Spoke with Chuck Davis today about recent Arsenic samples above MCL. The sample taken 12/7/07 with a result of .0223 mg/L was a raw water sample taken with the inorganic suite. The sample taken 12/26/07 with a result of .0193 mg/L was taken after central treatment and was still above the MCL. Chuck stated that the Arsenic treatment is not working properly because the raw water pH is 9.2 and this Arsenic treatment works best at around a pH of 7. He is installing a Muriatic acid feed system to bring the pH down and this will hopefully bring the As levels below the MCL. I have changed their As sampling schedule to quarterly. I notifyed him we will do a yearly average once 4 quarterly samples results are in. ACTION NEEDED: Take three more quarterly samples to determine yearly Arsenic average.
