| Details: | SUMMARY: Public Water System Failed to Report the Results of Nitrate DETAILS: Public water system failed in 2005 and 2006 to report the results of nitrate within six (6) months after the date on which the results were due. After investigation and support sample results were recovered and submitted to the county. Results were submitted to the DHS DWP. To ensure the PWS did not become delinquent again in 2007, the SDWIS database was checked and revealed that as of the start of the 4th quarter, annual nitrate records were still not on file for 2007.Due to the absence of annual nitrate results as of the start of the 4th quarter, the DRC was contacted. It was indentified that the DRC has recently mailed results to the local county health department but has not submitted result to the state DHS DWP. Follow-revealed that the DRC was still unaware of who to submit result to-- the correspondence memo prepared by the DHS DWP was subsequently provided to the DRC by the HRCHD for the second time. ACTION NEEDED: The Hood River County Health Department will continue to work with the USFS Cloud Cap/Cooper Spur operator to ensure that they are effectively submitting monitoring results in a timely matter and particularly that the annual 2007 nitrate results are successfully submitted. | ||
