| Details: | SUMMARY: CT Study DETAILS: I visited the system for the purpose of completing a CT Study on January 22, 2008. Operators had identified the first user from previous inquires. The plant disinfects with gas chlorine at three injection sites through out the treatment process. Baseline residuals were established post-filtration and prior to the 50,000 gallon storage tank. Samples from the first user location were averaged at 0.96 mgl prior to the boost to the start of the study. Approximately two hours into the study a large break in the residential plumbing occurred down stream from where the tracer samples were being analyzed. The area in the break was presumed to have been frozen and thawing of the pipe had allowed the break to become evident. The service to the residence had to be shut off due to water accumulating in the garage. The study was inconclusive at the time of the water break therefore the study will need to be repeated under more suitable weather conditions. The study is tentatively rescheduled to coincide with work a SOPs for the under certified operator written decision making protocol. ACTION NEEDED: A tracer Study and written SOPs are pending. | ||
