| Details: | SUMMARY: Stage 2 DBP Rule DETAILS: System was referred to HBH by John Higgins of Coquille regarding Stage 2 DBP Rule compliance. Review of the system shows there has been no Stage 1 DBP monitoring. System purchases water from Coquille. I contacted Wendy Marshall with USEPA regarding the systems Stage 1 compliance status and the need for Standard Monitoring Plan and eligibility for Very Small System (VSS) waiver. This system has no Stage 1 monitoring results. Wendy directed me to locate a Stage 1 monitoring site and conduct monitoring this August. Results from this testing must be sent to Wendy at USEPA for review. Additional a Standard Monitoring Plan (SPM) is required. The SMP must be prepared and submitted to the EPAS for review. The SPM will identify 2 additional DBP monitoring sites, will include a distribution system schematic and will schedule Stage 2 testing for the summer of 2009. I contacted Dr Gerald Bassett and discussed testing requirements with him and explained the actions that we need to take. He wants to schedule a site visit with him and a couple of others. ACTION NEEDED: John Potts will follow up with Rink Creek and schedule a site visit and help the system to locate a Stage 1 monitoring location and schedule monitoring. Mr Potts will also prepare a SMP and submit the plan to EPA on behalf of the system. | ||
