| Details: | SUMMARY: Exceeded the MCL for Trichloroethyleen. The school was contacted on 1-23-08. DETAILS: After consulting with Scott Curry I advised Mr. Simmons to resample for Trichloroethylene and Vinyl Chloride. We discussed the sources of Trichloroethylene and the possible sources of contamination. ACTION NEEDED: The school was told that they must take 4 quarterly samples for Trichloroethylene and one vinyl chloride sample. Because Mr. Simmons is a maintenance man for the school I advised him not to handle any solvents prior to taking the test and to thoroughly wash his hands. The first resample was taken on 2-01-08. Both the trichloroethylene and vinyl chloride had no detections. The operator asked if he still needed to take the other three quarterly samples. I said that he still had to take the three trichloroethylene samples but he would not have to take any more vinyl chloride samples. Verify that the 3 trichloroethylene samples are taken quarterly. | ||
