| Details: | SUMMARY: Fluoride addition in City water ceased temporarily. DETAILS: The DHS Drinking Water Program received an inquiry from the Oregon Dental Association through the Oral Health Program regarding the status of fluoride addition to the City of Albanys public drinking water. I contacted Keith Wolf, Albany Treatment Plant Supervisor on 5/27/08. Keith reported the fluoride injector malfunctioned about a month ago at the Albany-Millersburg Treatment Plant (AM). Fluoride addition was ceased at both plants (AM and Vine Street Plant) until the repair can be made. Keith estimates another 3-4 weeks until the fluoride feed injector can be repaired and put back on-line at the AM Treatment Plant. ACTION NEEDED: I provided this information to the Portland Drinking Water Program Office who in turn relayed it to the Oral Health Program. | ||
