| Details: | SUMMARY: Responded to positive TC result in temporary routine samples DETAILS: I called the contact on file, Gloria Arney, who referred me to the MHP manager, Jan Solesbee. The sample location that was positive on 10/1/08 was the same one that was positive on 9/18/08. However, October is the start of a new monitoring period, so this is treated as a new incident. Jan was informed yesterday by Delta Labs to take 4 repeat samples, including the troublesome location at Unit 30 on the eastside of the park. She has done so. If none come out positive, there is no violation in October. If one is positive, and it is still Unit 30, then we can look into invalidating that sampling location as not representing the water in the distribution system. In that case, one more temporary routine sample will need to be taken in October to replace that invalidated routine sample from Oct 1. (per Chuck Michael). The manager will then want to look closely at the plumbing system at Unit 30, but it will no longer be a matter of compliance with public drinking water regulations. ACTION NEEDED: Await results of repeat samples taken 10/3/08. | ||
