Details:	SUMMARY: Recent L & C results. DETAILS: Monty called to report 2 samples came back positive from the most recent round of L & C monitoring this summer. One result was 0.016 ppm and another was 0.010 ppm lead. All other sites tested ND. All copper testing was ND according to Monty. I calculated the 90th percentile for lead as 13 ppb (0.013 ppm) which is below the action level of 15 ppb. I asked Monty if he followed the L & C sampling site plan and he said he wasnt aware of the plan. He informed me that he is only a volunteer and doesnt have time for this. I suggested that he find a volunteer who does have time to operate the system or contract with a certified operator. I found the most recent plan in Linn County records that Monty prepared in Oct. 1997. I will send him a copy. If Monty did not follow the plan I will ask him to make an authorized/certified change to the plan (141A) or correct the monitoring that was just completed by contacting me regarding the steps to take. Monty states that the corrosion control system is operating fine. ACTION NEEDED: Wait for Monty to call if he did not follow sampling site plan for L & C.
