Details: | SUMMARY: Follow up on well disinfection DETAILS: John and Minerva were at the small systems operators class and said the disinfection system had not been installed and they were getting more bids. 6/10/08 John Duran called to inform me the disinfection system has been installed and is online. He took two samples on 6/6/08 and both were absent per Waterlab. 6/11/08 I made a field visit and visited each of the 4 well houses and verified each has its own disinfection system. All equipment/material installed and chlorine used is NSF certified. Hohn has a chlorine residual log and is aware he has to test residuals daily. He did not know he had to report the chlorine residual on the routine sample slips so this was not done on samples taken 6/6/08. I did verify a chlorine residual during my visit with my test kit (0.2ppm and 0.3ppm. After speaking with Brad Daniels with DWP we feel this water system can be returned to compliance. 10/30/08 The water system now has 6 months of routine TCR samples in compliance, May through October. Their chlorine residual has been reported at 0.03, 0.02 and the last two reoutine samples. ACTION NEEDED: none |
