Details: | SUMMARY: Potential air problem in distribution system DETAILS: The City of Dayton owns and operates a Ground Water system, which supplies approximately 2250 people through 800 connections. The City treats water from 4 wells (for various constituents, including iron/manganese and methane) at a pressure filter water treatment plant. Water is also supplied by two wells within the city limits, as well as springs in the Dundee Hills. HBH was contacted by Ross Schultz, City Manager, regarding complaints of air in the distribution system. All complaints were made by one individual. I visited water system to review operations with Mr Schultz. Reviewed correspondence between complaining party, Yamhill County Health and water system. Reviewed and researched possible causes of air in pipes, both on City and customer side of water meter. Corresponded with Mr Schultz regarding likelihood of failing water heater causing air problem. ACTION NEEDED: None at this time. |
