| Details: | SUMMARY: Called regarding failure to monitor for Nitrate. DETAILS: Called Julie Bryant regarding a monitoring and reporting violation for Nitrate. Julie indicated that they shut down for construction after 5 routine samples were collected in January 2008. Julie said that they are in process of renovating the buildings and may possibly install treatment for problems for high TDS which was causing a scaling problem. The system will be shut down for about 18 months during the renovation. I informed Julie of the DWP plan review requirements and that she will need to contact the plan review section in Portland before making any major changes to the water system. During the discussion, Julie indicated that the water system now has 8 connections (1 primary building, 6 cabins and 1 small outbuilding that occational is used as a cabin). ACTION NEEDED: Contact the plan review section in Portland before installing treatment or making any major modifications to the water system. Quarterly coliform and and yearly Nitrate sample will need to be collected when the system is reactivated. | ||
