Details: | SUMMARY: Coliform testing came back clean, but another outage occurred DETAILS: Neal Sheppeard called back to report that they had another outage at about 3 pm on June 2nd due to a failed check valve located between two reservoirs, which prevented water from flowing out of the 2.5 MG reservoir (the 2.0 MG reservoir was off-line due to maintenance). The outage affected an estimated 50% of their customers. The boil notice remains in effect. Information on translating the notice into Spanish was provided this morning by Roberto Reyes-Colon (971-673-0422). At about 9:30 am today, Sherrie called with the City to report that the results of the 10 samples taken yesterday showed an absence of coliform bacteria, however, with the new outage, more sampling will be needed. With the results of the two samples from the newly repaired main showing the absence of coliform bacteria, the main can be brought back on-line (it has been isolated since the repairs yesterday). ACTION NEEDED: Boil notice to remain in effect until additional sampling is completed. |
