| Details: | SUMMARY: Follow up for positive coliform and E.coli DETAILS: Three samples were all positive and one of the 3 was also E.coli positive. I told Josh to post a boil notice. This has been a problem well in the past so in questioning Josh I found out that he did not pull the aerators and screens on the faucets that were sampled. He also mentioned that the water had discolored recently with the spring thaw. Josh is supposed to pull 4 repeats after taking the screens off of the faucets. The well water should not discolor but the well is located within 10 feet of an irrigation ditch. I believe the well seal has failed and surface water is entering the well. ACTION NEEDED: 4 repeats, post system. Look into drilling another well, contact our office with the repeat results. | ||
