| Details: | SUMMARY: Discussed administrative order issued on 8/4/2009 DETAILS: Clint Haugen called me after receiving the administrative order issued on 8/4/2009 to the Lees Camp water system. We discussed the relationship between the Haugens and John Lund who owns another portion of the water system. I explained that the Order has to address both parties as they are essentially co-owners of the water system even though the Lees Camp Store owned by the Haugens has been very proactive in providing bottled water and restricting all access to the tap water. I explained that we are not currently considering civil penalties against either party involved with the water system, but did not rule out the possibility for the future. Mr. Haugen wanted to make sure that the Department and other parties are aware that the Haugens and the Lees Camp Store are doing everything they can to comply with safe drinking water regulations. ACTION NEEDED: Await construction of a new water source or adequate surface water treatment. | ||
