| Details: | SUMMARY: Positive coliform repeats DETAILS: Two of the repeats from 8/10/09 came back positive. Carol noted that they were all past the Gilliam tank and the samples before the tank were coliform negative. There are only a few services on that line. The water system is disinfecting the tank and flushing it and will do some special samples to ensure that the tank was the issue and that the problem is taken care of. Note: one of the original positive samples was in the unchlorinated side of the system and one was in the chlorinated side. Only the chlorinated side of the system showed positive repeats. ACTION NEEDED: Carol will do a Tier 2 public notice and send a copy to the Drinking Water Program. Public notice will go to the entire water system. The water system is already taking 5 samples per month, so there will be no increase in the number of routines taken in September. Carol will contact DWP with the results of the special samples early next week. | ||
