| Details: | SUMMARY: Response to total positive routine DETAILS: Spoke w/ Robert, regarding follow up on the routine total positive at the outside tap at the lodge, taken on 9/16, results back on 9/17. Robert spoke w/ Lab. I reviewed schematic, and reiterated that he needs to take four repeat samples today. In the absence of having a coliform sampling plan handy, we discussed taking one at the original routine positive, one up from the lodge coming from the cistern, one down from the lodge at an approved tap for drinking water, and one from the well-which is not treated. We discussed taking one from the cabin area if it is not possible to identify an appropriate sampling point down from the lodge. Robert noted that cistern has a crack in the hatch, and that small frogs could enter. We discussed that a repeat positive would be a MCL violation requiring corrective action and public notice. ACTION NEEDED: System to take four repeats today (9/18) and get them to lab. System to discuss results with Jefferson County Health on Monday (9/21), and next possible steps. System will take five temporary routines the next month water served to the public. System closes on Sept. 30th, so would be later. | ||
