Details: SUMMARY: Arsenic MCL DETAILS: 6/15/09 I spoke with Norm regarding the 6/8/09 arsenic sample. Well 3 is off line all year (except to one user) except when wells 1 and 2 cannot keep up with system demand. Well 3 is not on line at this time so no public notice is required. I reminded Norm that the state is waiting to hear from system on which course of action they will take relative to the letter I sent on April 22, 2009. Norm said that he is going to obtain a bid from a contractor to install an arsenic treatment system but also told me that because of the cost, the owner will shut the system down if treatment is required. 6/26/09 - Norm left a message today saying that he is still in process of obtaining bids for arsenic treatment, United Pipe is no longer doing this type of treatment so he is moving on to another company. He just brought water samples into Neilsons for pH, sulfate, and silica at the request of the contractor. Results will be ready in 10-12 days. 8/13/09 I emailed Brad Daniels at the state regarding this water system and the RAA for arsenic. Brad informed me that a violation will be issued. ACTION NEEDED: State will issue violation for arsenic
