Details: | SUMMARY: Boil water posting DETAILS: I contacted facilities manager regarding progress on fairgrounds well. At this point the well has had a camera run down it to evaluate the casing. It was determined that 70 of casing exists and the well is 99deep. Static water is measured at 13.5. Pump has been replaced and the chlorine injection point has been changed. Raw water samples are needed in order to assess if the water is safe to drink. I recommend they take three raw water samples at 2 day intervals to fully assess the water quality/safety prior to pulling boil water notice. It was discussed that if the system has the results of at least 2 raw water samples and the results are favorable that they might pull the boil water notice. If this happens it would still be necessary for the third raw water sample to be taken. It is critical that the raw water samples contain no chlorine residual and that need to be recorded on the water sample slips. ACTION NEEDED: Consult with this office prior to removing boil water notice. Photos of the new injection point are needed and the full well report sent to the state. Submit a raw water sample for evaluation for the next several months. |
