Details: | SUMMARY: Contact Tracer Study - 1200 gpm DETAILS: The City of Seaside owns and operates a Surface Water system, which supplies approximately 6,000 people through 3,600 connections. The City treats water from the Necanicum River through a dual-train, upflow clarifier and rapid sand package treatment plant. HBH was contacted by Jim Gohring to conduct a tracer study at 1,200 gpm. I went to plant to conduct testing. Chlorine residual at end of chlorine contact chamber was unusually low. Started test and chlorine level was raised too high. I had to stop test due to extremely high residual going into the contact chamber. Determined needed feed pump rate for correct residual for test. ACTION NEEDED: Redo CT testing for 1,200 gpm. |
