Details: | SUMMARY: Requirements to Place Reservoir #3 into Service DETAILS: Gary McLauchlin called to find out if there were any more requirements to meet before putting Reservoir #3 (under construction to install a floating cover in order to comply with LT2) back into service, other than the post-construction disinfection, meeting the conditions in the Conditional Approval Letter, and obtaining samples that indicated the absense of coliform bacteria. I told him that we had already received verification from Peter Kreft that the conditions in the Conditional Approval letter (dated 07/25/08) had been met and that they had used method AWWA C652-02 to disinfect the reservoir (application of 200 ppm chlorine). Gary said that the reservoir was nearly full and that they were going to finish filling the reservoir on Monday (10/26), conduct a leak test, and complete bacteriological sampling (4 samples) to comply with OAR 333-061-0050(10)(e). ACTION NEEDED: System to complete steps as described above prior to putting reservoir back on-line. Samples are to be marked special (since they will be taken with the reservoir out of service) and submitted to the Drinking Water Program. |
