| Details: | SUMMARY: Update to boil water situation DETAILS: DWP received a call from a customer of Buell-Red Prairie, complaining about being out of water. Contacted Mark Lyon for an update. Still one leak in the system with approximately 30 customers without water. Mark stated that Sheridan has been providing an emergency connection for a day and a half. Customer was contacted by DWP, discussed state roles versus water system roles. Suggested to both the customer and Mark that Buell-Red Prairie may wish to consider joining ORWARN and looking into a better customer contact system such as a reverse 911 system. Discussed requirements for Buell-Red Prairie to complete before ending the boil water notice. Also discussed need to update emergency response plan. ACTION NEEDED: System will need to fix leaks, flush system and take coliform bacteria tests before rescinding the boil water notice. Mark will keep in contact with DWP. System also will need to update the emergency response plan to include how to contact customers in a Tier 1 notice situation. | ||
