Details: SUMMARY: Alert Id: COLI5846 - The routine sample collected on 11/5/08 tested positive for Total Coliform. DETAILS: 11/8/08 - Daniel Hough and I spoke with Samantha today. She indicated there has been a new pump installed in the well and they have installed (but not placed online) 2 new 20,000 gallon storage tanks. We advised her to discuss plan review with Scott Curry. Assuming the new tanks are approved, she is planning to bring the storage tanks online on 12/1/08. At that time the entire system needs to be disinfected and 5 temporary routine samples will be collected. Additionally, during discussions with Samantha we determined that the system would be more appropriately classified a seasonal State Regulated System (June-October). Daniel will make this change in SDWIS. ACTION NEEDED: This alert has not yet been resolved-- however, 5 temporary routine samples need to be collected after the tanks are online and the new storage tanks/well deepening may need to be approved with a plan review.
