| Details: | SUMMARY: Lead 90th Percentile Exceedance DETAILS: Monroe had 20 sites sampled for Lead and Copper on 12/17/09 after conducting a plumbing profile approved by me (see 2/7/09 contact report). The 90th percentile for lead was exceeded at 0.0220 mg/L (action level is 0.0155 mg/L). One of the high sites was invalidated because a tap that receives infrequent use was used, but the new result (ND) analyzed on 1/29/10, did not affect the 90th percentile. Public Notice and the Consumer Notice of Tap Water Results were distributed, and copies received by me, on 2/2/10. Monroe already adds caustic soda for corrosion control at the treatment plant. The system will collect WQP samples in the coming weeks. I sent a letter outlining the requirements on 2/5/10. ACTION NEEDED: Await WQP and source lead and copper results. | ||
