| Details: | SUMMARY: Water System Survey Follow up DETAILS: System requested assistance with preparation of non DRC operator written protocol. Fred Kalish with DWP, identified this as a significant deficiency in his Aug 18, 2009 Water System Survey. Other recommendations and comments were listed in the survey follow up letter dated 9/15/09. I met with Brady Weidner to discuss and clarify non DRC operator decision making procedures that may apply to the WTP and distribution system operation. The system has WT and WD level 1 and 2 operators. I suggested the city develop a written protocol page for each operator and review with them what it will entail. We discussed WTP operations from source to the high service pumps, which is in the treatment aspects of the system. Written protocol will also be developed for the distribution system operators. Terry Owings will send me a draft response letter to the DWP for me to review and comments. I also reviewed chemical pump calibration procedures and dosage calculations.
