| Details: | SUMMARY: Positive coliform sample 2/8/10 DETAILS: spoke to Dean on the phone. He confirmed he was aware of the need to collect more samples. Special circumstance included (1) a prechlorine sample could not be taken al long as chlorine disinfectant was being added directly into the well casing (2) all samples are being drawn from the pump shed and not the distribution system (3) disinfectant levels did not meet 4 log disinfection level. Discussed likelihood and need of doing a system survey with Dean in March. After discussion with Dean, I communicated with Jay MacPherson at the state who indicated that future presence of coliform will make it necessary to purge the well of chlorine in order to obtain a predisinfected sample. ACTION NEEDED: Take 4 repeat samples ASAP. Need to update coliform sampling plan to draw routine samples from distribution system. In March, draw 5 temporary routine samples. | ||
