Briefly, the corrosion evaluation of Well 1 revealed that there is a tenfold (3 to 30) increase in the chloride to sulfate mass ratio (CSMR) at sites using blended water. This is well above the recommended ratio of 0.6. We are evaluating our options and alternatives and should know more by the end of March 2010. Currently we are continuing to work with our affected customers and providing them with public education materials, notices, and public service announcements to ensure that they take the appropriate steps to reduce their exposure to lead in the drinking water and that their health is not compromised.
