| Details: | SUMMARY: Well Production Assistance DETAILS: Whispering Pines Estates is a small Community System located within the City of Shady Cove. The system is a ground water system supplying 70 people through 21 connections. The primary source of water for the system is a well. HBH was contacted by Roy Stuart to assist the system with the possible consolidation of several water systems in North Shady Cove. The City of Shady Cove has no public water system. Rather, residences and businesses are served either through small water systems or on private wells. The water systems in North Shady Cove have experienced many problems with quality and quantity. The well as Whispering Pines Estates has “run dry” a few times causing the water system to have water hauled in. HBH was contacted to provide assistance with information gathering for the water systems PUC review. The system customers had expressed doubt to the PUC about the need of the systems to consolidate. I discussed current system issues at length with Rene Sloan with PUC and investigated the well log for configuration of the well, as one of the theories being presented by the customers is that the well was improperly constructed. I determined that the well construction is not the likely source of the lack of water in the summer months. I investigated local well companies that could camera the well if required by the PUC review. ACTION NEEDED: None needed at this time. | ||
