| Details: | SUMMARY: Attended ASR Kickoff Meeting DETAILS: I attended a kickoff meeting for the Robinette well (COLU51275, L38995) and Gill Allen Well (COLU50792, L23427) ASR project. The project involves injecting water from the distribution system (supplied by the Blaha Wells (COLU53430 & COLU3480) and the Stone Road wells (COLU811 & COLU821) into the Robinette well for future storage and withdrawl. The ASR license issued by OWRD is for storage of up to 8 MG for 5 years. We discussed sampling protocols required by OWRD, which are largely unrelated to DWP requirements other than normal EP monitoring. I did recommended they use a sample site on the injection side of the ASR well as a routine coliform sample site, which would be sampled every month (the other monthly sample would still be on a rotation schedule). I also mentioned that the Blaha Well #2 would still need to be approved prior to being put into use. After the meeting, I inspected the Robinette and Gil Allen wells and told them that they would need screened vents, but I did not see any other deficiencies. ACTION NEEDED: System to keep DWP aprised of the development and when the ASR injection began. Blaha Well #2 will still need to be approved through the plan review process prior to being put into use. | ||
