Details: | SUMMARY: UV installation DETAILS: Jeff took me into basement of clubhouse showing the UV system that was installed 2 years ago. He confirmed that he had called Portland state office and knows what he now needs to submit for plan review for this change. Discussed concerns about proper labeling for source sampling. At this time the clubhouse is being served only by the well. The spring only serves the toilet room on the lower course. I explained that this potable use of water qualified the toilet room as a separate public water system with or without hand wash or drinking fountain facilities. Presuming no surface water intrusion sampling requirements for both system s would be identically minimum of quarterly coliforms and annual nitrates. Some possibility that based on history disinfection would be logical. Options are 1: Reconnect both sources and make a single system as it was a few years ago. 2. Continue to operate the two systems but begin to meet the regulatory requirements for both or 3. Eliminate toilet rooms, fountains, on lower course and any use of water aside from irrigating 4. Pick one source to provide water throughout the property. ACTION NEEDED: Discuss options with ownership and make a decision within next 2 weeks. |
