| Details: | SUMMARY: E. coli alert follow up DETAILS: System has been experiencing flooding in the well vaults. This was not known until a recent pump failure and the vaults were opened. There was flooding in Well #1 vault. The system design was supposed to have vault drains but it is unclear if they were constructed to the submitted plans. The system does not have good raw sample taps. The only raw taps available are after the sand filters. The system had just finished chlorinating. Well #1 was chlorinated on 6/17 and Well #2 on 6/18. Positive samples were collected on 6/21. Do Not Drink notices were brought for the system to post. All well ice was cleaned out and fountain pop dispensers were shut down. Showers were still allowed for use. ACTION NEEDED: Have raw sample taps installed, collect source samples then rechlorinate. System is to take 5 routine samples in July. Once samples come back clear the public notice can be lifted. | ||
