Details: SUMMARY: Three of four repeat samples from the waer system returned positive for Total Coliform. DETAILS: Three repeat samples taken from distribution for this system were Total Coliform positive, one sample from the well was negative. ACTION NEEDED: The water system will need disinfecting the well and distribution lines. The water system has been posted by the concessionaire. They will email a copy to my office. After chlorination, the water system will take additional samples to determine effectiveness of treatment and correct the problem. The water storage tank was cleaned last week. The Forest Service believes that the cleaning may have caused the contamination. The water system will take five routine samples next month, September, 2010.
