| Details: | SUMMARY: Questions regarding proposed treatment technologies and options DETAILS: Chander Brown called to discuss options for surface water treatment for Boulder Creek WS and Bear Creek WS per compliance with Administrative Orders. We discussed the three options presented to him by David Funderburk of H20 Technologies Inc. I explained to Chandler that I could not comment on which system would work best for the water systems - only that all three options would meet State treatment requirements. I suggested he request life cycle cost information to better compare up front costs and O & M costs to see if this shed light on the least over all cost of the systems. I also recommended that he question his consultant and engineer about capacity of pump(s) in the IG gallery at Boulder Creek WS to ensure that this potential problem (lack of pumping energy to overcome headloss through pipeline and treatment between river and storage reservoir) was also addressed. I also expressed that DWP was concerned about progress in getting plans to approve with AO deadline (end of October) rapidly approaching. He understands that they are running late. I also expressed my concern that whatever equipment they choose, there may be delays in delivery. ACTION NEEDED: Watch for submittal. | ||
