Details: | SUMMARY: Response to zero pressure event DETAILS: I spoke to Calven on 10/6 and 10/7 regarding a customer complaint of no water on the weekend of 10/2-10/3. It was in the Ericson Dike Rd area of the system. Some valves were shut off, as the potential for installing automated controls was being investigated. Since pressure had been restored over the weekend, it was decided a boil notice was not necessary during consultation w/ DWP on 10/5. DWP stressed to Calven that boil notice requried when zero pressure occurrs in the future. DWP forwarded BMP for Service Outages due to Reduced Pressure Events. Calven took sample on 10/5 in affected area of pressure loss, and sample returned coliform absent on 10/6. Residuals at 0.99 mg/l at this sample. ACTION NEEDED: DWP to provide support to Midland to ensure minimum required pressure provided at all times, and to answer any questions system may have on the BMP. |
