Details: SUMMARY: Positive Ecoli 11/1/10 DETAILS: 11/2/10 - 3 repeat distribution samples and a triggered source sample collected 11/1/10 positive. I spoke with Paige today regarding the required public notice the next samples due, and chlorination I emailed her the template along with states email address. 11/8/10 - Paige called and informed me that she thinks that a cross connection between the irigation supply, Rogue River, and the potable water supply is responsible for the contaminated samples. She is going to investigate the plumbing system to try to pin down the location of the cross connection. 11/15/10 I called Paige and she informed me the special sample she collected came back negative and she will be collecting five temporaty routines ASAP. The cross connection was thought to have contributed if not caused, the positive samples can be ruled out because the plumbing work that caused the cross connection took place after the positive sample was collected. Paige informed me that there will be an irrigation meeting where homeowners will discuss backflow prevention on the irrigation system. 11/18/10 I spoke with paige and she will dind out the exact nature of the plumbing at the house where a cross connection was suspected and said she will get back to me. ACTION NEEDED: none
