| Details: | SUMMARY: Coliform alert DETAILS: Through a complaint on 2/22/11 this situation was discussed with management, Marci and their water lab by phone. Upon investigation it was discovered that the state was not being forwarded the water test results. The firm did not understand this step as they are new to the state and the lab did not know they were a public water system. All previous results upon the firm becoming a public water system were also submitted. Phone discussion on 2/23/11 with Marci confirmed the firm stopped use of the soda fountain and coffee machines upon being notified of the positive results on 2/17/11. All food service activities manufacturing of ice, and beverage service requiring water shall continue to not in use until water supply is potable (absent Ecoli and coliform results) 2/24/11 Contact was made with the maintenance person, Steve Jacobson. He stated there was a broken pipe near ground level supplying water to the facilities concrete holding tank. Livestock are held farther up the hill which may have been the source of Ecoli. The pipe was repaired the holding tank was flushed, and the whole system shock chlorinated. He would take new samples within the week. ACTION NEEDED: Need to resample with absent results before using the water supply for potable use and need 5 routine samples next month. | ||
