Details: SUMMARY: OERS call for Hwy 22 DETAILS: Public Health Duty officer called with incident #2011-0915 regarding a diesel spill due to an accident earlier today on Hwy 22 at MP 8.23. Tow truck driver noted that the truck was leaking diesel into Salt Creek and that there was a sheen on the water. Followup contact with Jim Solvedt at Polk County revealed that the spill was about 750 feet from Salt Creek and that he did note there was a slough nearby. Jim noted that there werent any downstream plants. ACTION NEEDED: None at this time.
