Details: | SUMMARY: Asset Management DETAILS: The Bay Hills Water Assn owns and operates a community water system serving 19 connections and an estimated population of 50 people. Water supply for the District comes from unnamed springs feeding a small reservoir. A small raw water pump station located near the reservoir contains two Paco pumps-- each rated at 20 gpm at 212 feet total dynamic head. The Water Treatment Plant (WTP) is a conventional single-tank package plant manufactured by Pacific Keystone (Key-Tech HTT 20) and was installed in 1983. Plant processes include hydraulic flocculation, tube settler sedimentation, and mixed media filtration. A 41,000-gallon glass-fused-to-steel storage tank is located adjacent to the plant. Treated water is pumped from the bottom of the filter into the adjacent to the plant. Treated water is pumped from the bottom of the filter into the adjacent storage tank. The plant also includes a backwash pump. The plant design flow is 20 gpm but often operates between 12-15 gpm. HBH met with Mr MacKown and reviewed the system and components. Outlined a risk failure analysis and wrote up a list of recommendations. ACTION NEEDED: None at this time. |
