Details: | SUMMARY: Positive repeat coliform DETAILS: Only three distribution samples and one source sample have been collected. I spoke with Curt about collecting a sample from the other well and another from the distribution system. I emailed Curt a public notice and we discussed instruction with regard to distributing it and sending a copy to the state. We discussed shock chlorinating the well but the samples will be collected prior to any shock chlorination. We also discussed collecting the five temporary routines towards the end of June. 6/10/11 --See also alert coli 9214. The triggered source sample from well 2 tested positive for Ecoli but all five confirmation samples tested negative, therefore it is unconfirmed. Well 2 was valve off after receiving the results of the Ecoli positive and it remains valved off at this time. I spoke with Curt and he will be shock chlorinating well 2 only and pumping it to waste, replacing the three UV bulbs and collecting a special sample from well 2 after disinfection. I reminded him to collect the five temporary routines from the distribution system later this month after disinfecting well 2 with water from both wells in the distribution system for example, after well 2 was turned back on. I added that if Curt wants to keep well 2 off he should let me know so that I could notify the state and they could d inactivate well 2 in SDWIS ACTION NEEDED: Five temporary routines need to be collected later this month, June 2011 | ||
