Details: | SUMMARY: Follow-up to 7/26/11 site visit and boil water advisory DETAILS: I contacted HARMSCO (800-327-3248) at 6:45 AM and asked about the significance of the retaining nut and the representative said that it keeps the cartridge in place so that it does not get damaged when pressurized. It also keeps filtered water from co-mingling with unfiltered water. I contacted Ludek that morning (7/27) at around 7:00 AM and instructed him to find the missing part and make sure it was in place. I also told him that he should not use the water for food prep, drinking, or dish washing until it was in place, the system flushed, and back on-line. I asked Ludek if the UV lamp was still working and he said it was. I sent an e-mail to Lukek clarifying the requirements and cc’d Kent, James, and Kari. A bacteriological sample taken by Alexin Analytical personnel at Hamlet Quick-Stop at 9:40 am on July 27, 2011. The results (obtained 8/2/11) showed an absence of total coliform bacteria. The sample location simply indicated “store”. ACTION NEEDED: System to initiate a boil water advisory, replace cartridge retainer nut, flush system, and take a coliform sample. System to remain on boil water advisory until results indicate an absence of bacteria. |
