Details: | SUMMARY: TC+ in latest routine sample, construction underway DETAILS: The park resident, Randi Hamlet, phoned me about the positive lab result (sample taken 10/30/11), and explained how she cannot take any repeats because the water has been shut off during construction work at the spring. DMCE says in these cases the system cannot avoid getting a violation for not taking the repeats, but it is possible to waive the 5 temporary routines the next month (the logic being, I believe, that the intervening construction has already changed so much around). I also spoke to County Parks manager Al Kitzman, and then wrote him and DWP engineer Jay MacPherson an email asking if this work at the source merits an informal or formal Plan Review. ACTION NEEDED: System will provide DWP engineer with required information to determine Plan Review status of current work. System must disinfect the system after construction completed, and submit clean samples (TC-) before the water system goes back online. DWP will determine whether to waive temporary routines, and any PN requirements (water currently shut off to public). | ||
