Details: | SUMMARY: Attended City Council Meeting DETAILS: Attended Baker City council work session regarding the LT2 crypto sample results and treatment requirements. David Keil, PE, with HDR Engineering gave a presentation that covered the rule background, what portions apply to Baker City, reviewed their crypto results, discussed how UV works, and why UV is the least cost option for them to comply with the LT2 treatment requirements. Afterwards I discussed the Safe Driking Water Acts multiple barrier approach, recovery rates for crypto sampling, and recommendations for those people at increased risk to consult with their doctor. We both answered questions from the council. Susan Bland, Baker County Health Dept. director, discussed the role they would play if there were any reported cases of crypto. ACTION NEEDED: City to continue design process for UV treatment system. | ||
