Details: | SUMMARY: System does not meet definition of a public water system DETAILS: Conducted a survey on July 12, 2011. Upon further review of population records with Girl Scout Council camp director Rex and his staff, it was determined that the well does not meet the definition of a public water system. Rex was informed while the system would be deactivated with the state, the camp is still licensed by the OHA Tourist and Traveler Accommodation section. Because the camp is available year round this would require they continue their regulate testing schedule for coliform and nitrate. However the results would now come to Benton county rather that the state. Spoke to Tim Mitchell about a similar situation and half the payment would be received for an NC system conducting the field work. I will confirm that for this case as well at the state Fall conference in Wilsonville. ACTION NEEDED: File deactivation paper work. Monitor and file test results from the camp. |
